After bombing Japan, Lt. Col. Doolittle and most of other crewmen bailed out over China. Most of them reached safety while four were captured by the Japanese and three died due to crash/parachuting. On June 29, 1942, Madame Chiang Kai-Shek awarded medals to these Tokyo raiders in Chungking, China. Photos in this post were all taken on that day. In the top photo, Madame CKS addresses the crews before presenting the medals. From left to right are: unknown Chinese, Madame CKS, Brig. Gen. Doolttle (he was promoted by two grades immediately after the raid, bypassing the rank of Colonel), Col. John Hilger, 1st Lt. Richard Cole.
Below, Col. Hilger is being decorated by Madame CKS with Doolittle in the background (note the medal he is wearing).

Madame CKS made a speech after decorating the Tokyo raiders:

The caption for the next photo indicated that it was taken on the same day. Since the flyers were all wearing their jackets with the medals, this photo was mostly likely taken at a later time that day.

The medal awarded to Doolittle was Order of Yun Hwei (Cloud Flag) 雲麾勳章, 3rd Grade.

The medal that Col. Hilger received appeared to be Order of Yun Hwei, 6th Grade.

The medal worn by other flyers was probably Medal of Armed Forces 陸海空軍獎章, Class A, 1st Grade:
