That was from George Herbert Walker Bush, the 41st President of the United States from 1989 to 1993. Of course, he did not write to me. It was part of the letter to late Madame Chiang Kai-Shek, who wrote to Bush a month earlier:
Madame Chiang’s signature in her letter to Bush on December 18, 1991(All documents in this post are courtesy of George Bush Presidential Library)
Although Madame Chiang wrote two full pages, Bush’s reply was very concise:

I also found a letter from then President Lee Teng-Hui, who wrote to then Vice President Bush to congratulate on his election as the President:

I am not sure if our Dear Regional Administrator has written to congratulate Obama on his election victory. He might need a new letterhead to better suit his title; so I designed one for him to use, free of charge:

Nah. The Regional Adm. letter looks extremely fake.
It’s in traditional Chinese! Get your act together, man.
Also, now that the US has elected the anti-Christ, is the term Christmas even allowed?

Just call Ma as Mayor of Taiwan/Taipei, given the way his admin been dealing with PRC and pretty much bow down to them on every issue. Besides, that’s his title before, right?
I think it is logical to assume the possibility of calling “Chinese Taipei, S. A. R.” or “Taiwan, S.A.R.”?
