I found more interesting LIFE magazine photos on Google. Here are pictures taken during CINCPAC Adm. Harry Felt’s visit to then Kung Kuan Air Field (now Ching Chuan Kang AFB) in November 1960. Click on them and you will be linked to the original Google pages with high-resolution images.
Look close and you can see the words “Kung Kuan Air Field” both in English and Chinese.
I cannot make out the badges worn on their chests. Can you?
The pilot on the left is Lt. Chang Chia (張甲), who was involved in an air-to-air collision of F-104 over Taipei City in 1964.
These F-104A were delivered to Taiwan shortly before Felt’s visit.

第2與第3張照片中的飛行員是雷虎小組的隊員, 第2張照片中右起第1位應為王詒祺, 第3位為張復, 第三張照片中有一位是唐卉璋, 一位是唐毓秦
