The above photo was taken about ten years ago, when I was still with the Center for Aviation and Space Technology (CAST) of the ITRI. CAST was developing small jet engines for RC aircraft and UAV then. So I guess CAST aquired this Chukar III target drone for studying. But I have no idea where the drone was originally from (most likely from Taiwan’s military). Below the Chukar and partly visible in the photo is the fuselage of the much larger MQM-107 target drone. I am not aware of its origin either.
The next picture reveals the avionics bay of the Chukar III. The black ball in the front is the forward radar reflector.
The last picture shows where the recovery parachute is packed.
The drone should come from the ADMC.
