Although I am not a big fan of Bill Gates or Microsoft, I think their Live Search project will benefit many foreigners who are looking for a decent map of Taiwan in the English language. Its being zoomable is a plus. So I am offering a spot on my blog for Bill, free of charge:

Nice find! I like Google’s map better and I find that their map data are more up to date as well. However, like you said, Google’s map for Taiwan (or for Japan and Hong Kong) are in their own respective language. Microsoft’s Virtual Earth definitely helped out when translating from Chinese to English.
Expecting a good Taiwan Map in English for my friend who does not speak Chinese.
