   The problem is the character encoding. This happens to me when the browser changes the font to simplified Chinese. Just change the font to either a western font or traditional Chinese.

   Yahoo is incredibly stupid, which is why I am preparing to switch over to GMAIL. They constantly lose attachments, etc.

   Many thanks for your pointer. Actually I thought it was the encoding problem at first, because I had experience something similar before. But this time the buttons like “Check Mail”, “Compose”, and “Spam” all stopped functioning. So I thought it was more serious than encoding.
   Later I found that everything was ok if I used Firefox instead of IE. So the problem must have to do with Microsoft. Working step by step, finally I found the solution. But it was not easy for me.
