以上兩張高雄港的照片取自1944年2月的美軍情報分析報告。接下來我會用它們來輔助說明第38特遣艦隊飛機在1944年10月12日攻擊高雄港時所拍攝的照片。
The first two annotated reconnaissance photos are from Taiwan Interim Report, February 1944, and will be used as the reference for the following photos, which were taken during the October 12, 1944, raid against Takao Harbor by Task Force 38’s aircraft.
下面這張照片涵蓋了T.3（製鋁工廠）和T.4（燃料槽）兩個目標和之間的區域，濃煙升起處應該是T.4。
The next photo covered targets T.3 and T.4 and the area in between. One or more fuel tanks in T.4 had probably been hit.

接下來連續兩張照片顯示T.8a的軍用碼頭與倉儲區被炸中的情形，照片中可見兩艘停泊的貨輪。

在下面兩張照片中，一艘船被擊中，並引發爆炸。圖中可見編號T.9目標的臨港線鐵路與T.7目標的小型船隻停泊區。
In the next two photos, a boat was hit and exploded. Targets T.9, railroad yard, and T.7, small boat basin, were also visible.
