I found the following two footages of ROC military on the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration’s website. The first one shows the ROC and US Marines conducting joint amphibious exercise in southern Taiwan in early September 1958, shortly after the second Taiwan Strait Crisis erupted. The Chinese code name for exercise is 陸吼 (literally the Roars of the Marines), but I have no idea how USMC called it. Click on the picture and you will be linked to the video hosted on NARA. The other video contains the rare footage of paratroopers jumping off ROCAF C-46 during Operation Sky Soliders (天兵演習) in 1965. The complete video can also be purchased on Amazon.

I also found in NARA the following photo of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen, first President of the Republic of China. NARA says “[t]his government-originated photograph is from the only currently known immigration case file for Dr. Sun Yat Sen.” I wonder if NARA will also put online the USA passport of the shameless legislator Diane Lee some years later?
