The final approval from CINCPAC was received in the early hours of April 10.  After discussing with A.C.1, CTF 57 sent the following message to inform all concerned.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/iceberg_oolong_10.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>4\u670810\u65e5\u4e2d\u5348\uff0c\u7b2c57\u7279\u9063\u8266\u968a\u628a\u4efb\u52d9\u898f\u5283\u7684\u7d30\u7bc0\u900f\u904e\u95dc\u5cf6\u767c\u9001\u7d66\u76f8\u95dc\u55ae\u4f4d\uff1b\u7576\u5929\u4e0b\u53481700\uff0c\u7b2c57\u7279\u9063\u8266\u968a\u958b\u59cb\u822a\u5411\u4efb\u52d9\u8d77\u98db\u4f4d\u7f6e\uff0c\u4e26\u7531\u7b2c1\u822a\u6bcd\u6230\u968a\u63a5\u624b\u6307\u63ee\u3002\u9019\u9805\u653b\u64ca\u53f0\u7063\u7684\u4efb\u52d9\u7684\u4ee3\u865f\u8a02\u70ba\u300c\u51b0\u5c71\u70cf\u9f8d\u300d\u884c\u52d5\uff08Operation Iceberg Oolong\uff09\u3002<br \/>At 1203 on April 10, the final signals were transmitted to Guam W\/T for various authorities giving final details. At 1700 with the Fleet steering for its flying-off position, CTF 57 handed over tactical command to A.C.1. The operation was named <strong>Iceberg Oolong<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u4ee5\u4e0b\u662f\u7b2c57\u7279\u9063\u8266\u968a\u6240\u8a18\u8f09\u63a5\u4e0b\u4f86\u7684\u4e09\u5929\u88e1\u51b0\u5c71\u70cf\u9f8d\u884c\u52d5\u9032\u884c\u7684\u6b77\u7a0b\uff1a<br \/>The following is the chronology of Operation Iceberg Oolong, taken almost verbatim from CTF 57&#8217;s action report:<\/p>\n<p><strong>April 11: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u7b2c57\u7279\u9063\u8266\u968a\u65bc\u6e05\u66680600\u62b5\u9054\u90a3\u570b\u5cf6\u897f\u5357\u65b930\u82f1\u54e9\u5916\u7684\u4efb\u52d9\u8d77\u98db\u4f4d\u7f6e\uff0c\u98a8\u5411\u5317\u5317\u6771\uff0c\u98a8\u6d6a\u4e2d\u7b49\uff0c\u96f2\u9ad8\u7d041000\u82f1\u544e\uff0c\u4e26\u6709\u9663\u96e8\u3002<br \/>The Fleet arrived in flying-off position 30 miles 202 degrees from Yonakumi Shima at 0600. There was a fresh N.N.E. wind, a moderate sea and short swell. Cloud base was about 1,000 feet with intermittent rain and drizzle.<\/p>\n<p>\u8266\u968a\u6389\u8f49\u822a\u5411\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u5929\u6c23\u770b\u4f86\u4e0d\u592a\u53ef\u80fd\u597d\u8f49\uff0c\u800c\u4e14\u6c23\u8c61\u9810\u5831\u986f\u793a\u677e\u5c71\u5730\u5340\u7684\u5929\u6c23\u4e0d\u9069\u5408\u767c\u52d5\u653b\u64ca\u3002\u8266\u968a\u96d6\u7136\u66fe\u8003\u616e\u6d3e\u51fa\u898f\u6a21\u8f03\u5c0f\u7684\u6230\u9b25\u6a5f\u7fa4\u7e5e\u884c\u53f0\u7063\u5317\u6d77\u5cb8\u98db\u5230\u65b0\u7af9\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u9019\u6a23\u4e00\u4f86\u5c31\u6c92\u6709\u5947\u8972\u7684\u6548\u679c\uff0c\u56de\u7a0b\u7684\u5b89\u5168\u6027\u4e5f\u582a\u616e\uff0c\u842c\u4e00\u8981\u9032\u884c\u6d77\u7a7a\u641c\u7d22\uff0c\u5929\u6c23\u4e5f\u5341\u5206\u4e0d\u5229\u3002\u56e0\u6b64\u8266\u968a\u6c7a\u5b9a\u5c07\u4efb\u52d9\u5ef6\u5f8c24\u5c0f\u6642\uff0c\u4e26\u6301\u7e8c\u5411\u6771\u5357\u65b9\u822a\u884c\u3002\u8266\u968a\u6307\u63ee\u5b98\u5728\u665a\u9593\u901a\u77e5\u4e86\u7b2c\u4e94\u8266\u968a\uff0c\u5c07\u5ef6\u5f8c\u523012\u300113\u65e5\u518d\u5c0d\u53f0\u7063\u767c\u52d5\u653b\u64ca\u3002<br \/>Course was reversed and in daylight it was soon apparent that conditions were unlikely to improve in the flying area during the day while weather reports showed that conditions over Matsuyama precluded any hope of attack. It was considered that a small fighter sweep coasting round North Formosa might find Shinchiku, but that their return journey would be a considerable gamble and surprise lost. Conditions were most unsuitable also for air-sea rescue. Operations were accordingly postponed 24 hours, and the Fleet continued to the south eastward. During the night I had informed Commander 5th Fleet of the postponement and that we strike Formosa ,on 12th and I3th April.<\/p>\n<p><strong>April 12: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u5929\u6c23\u72c0\u6cc1\u5728\u524d\u591c\u5927\u5e45\u597d\u8f49\u3002\u5169\u6279\u5404\u753124\u67b6\u8f5f\u70b8\u6a5f\u548c20\u67b6\u6230\u9b25\u6a5f\u7d44\u6210\u7684\u653b\u64ca\u68af\u968a\u65bc\u4e0a\u53480715\u65bc\u5317\u7def23\u5ea658\u00bd\u5206\u3001\u6771\u7d93122\u5ea646\u5206\u7684\u4f4d\u7f6e\u8d77\u98db\uff0c\u7531\u65bc\u96f2\u5c64\u7684\u5f71\u97ff\uff0c\u6a5f\u7fa4\u7121\u6cd5\u98db\u8d8a\u4e2d\u592e\u5c71\u8108\uff0c\u56e0\u6b64\u7e5e\u884c\u53f0\u7063\u5317\u6d77\u5cb8\u524d\u5f80\u76ee\u6a19\u5340\u3002<br \/>The weather had improved considerably during the night. The two main strikes, each of 24 bombers and 20 fighters, were flown off at 0715 from position 23\u00b0 58\u00bd&#8217; N 122\u00b0 46&#8242; E and proceeded in company around the coast. Cloud prevented either strike going over the mountains.<\/p>\n<p>\u653b\u64ca\u68af\u968a\u4e4b\u4e00\u4ee5\u5ef6\u9072\u5f15\u4fe1\u70b8\u5f48\u8f5f\u70b8\u65b0\u7af9\u98db\u884c\u5834\uff0c\u4e26\u653b\u64ca\u4e86\u758f\u6563\u63a9\u9ad4\u4f4d\u7f6e\u3002\u65e5\u8ecd\u53ea\u4ee5\u9632\u7a7a\u7832\u706b\u9084\u64ca\uff0c\u4e26\u672a\u51fa\u52d5\u98db\u6a5f\u3002\u4f46\u7531\u65bc\u677e\u5c71\u98db\u884c\u5834\u4e0a\u7a7a\u7684\u96f2\u5c64\u906e\u63a9\uff0c\u53e6\u4e00\u68af\u968a\u6539\u70ba\u653b\u64ca\u57fa\u9686\u6e2f\uff0c\u6210\u54e1\u76ee\u8996\u4e86\u5316\u5b78\u5de5\u5ee0\u3001\u78bc\u982d\u3001\u88dd\u8f09\u5340\u88ab\u70b8\u4e2d\u3002<br \/>One strike bombed Shinchiku airfields with delay fuzed bombs and attacked dispersals. There was flak but no airborne opposition. Due to cloud conditions over Matsuyama airfield the other strike attacked their alternative target Kiirun harbour where hits were observed on the chemical plant, dock area and shipping.<\/p>\n<p>\u6709\u4e00\u500b\u5c0f\u968a\u7684\u98db\u6a5f\u98db\u5230\u677e\u5c71\u98db\u884c\u5834\u4e0a\u7a7a\u52d8\u67e5\uff0c\u6c92\u6709\u767c\u73fe\u65e5\u8ecd\u6709\u4efb\u4f55\u6d3b\u52d5\uff0c\u96a8\u5f8c\u653b\u64ca\u4e86\u9644\u8fd1\u7684\u4e00\u500b\u706b\u8eca\u7ad9\u548c\u5de5\u5ee0\uff0c\u540c\u6642\u6467\u6bc0\u4e86\u5730\u9762\u7684\u4e00\u67b6\u65e5\u8ecd\u98db\u6a5f\uff08\u6309\uff1a\u8a18\u9304\u70baToss\uff0c\u4f46\u6211\u627e\u4e0d\u5230\u9019\u7a2e\u98db\u6a5f\u7684\u578b\u865f\uff09\uff0c\u4f4d\u65bc\u677e\u5c71\u98db\u884c\u5834\u5357\u9762\u7684\u4e00\u5ea7\u6a4b\u6a11\u4e5f\u88ab\u6467\u6bc0\u3002\u5c0f\u968a\u4e26\u653b\u64ca\u4e86\u5728\u6de1\u6c34\u4e00\u5e36\u7684\u8239\u96bb\u3002<br \/>One flight investigated Matsuyama and found little activity. A nearby railway station and factory were attacked and one Toss was destroyed on the ground. A bridge over the river south of Matsuyama was destroyed and shipping at Tansui shot up.<\/p>\n<p>\u96b8\u5c6c\u65bc\u52dd\u5229\u865f\uff08HMS Victorious\uff09\u822a\u7a7a\u6bcd\u8266\u4e0a\u7b2c849\u4e2d\u968a\u7684\u6d77\u8ecd\u4e2d\u5c09Daniel McAleese\u7684\u5fa9\u4ec7\u8005\uff08Avenger\uff09\u578b\u8f5f\u70b8\u6a5f\u88ab\u64ca\u589c\u65bc\u57fa\u9686\u5916\u6d77\uff0cMcAleese\u96d6\u88ab\u6551\u8d77\u4e26\u9001\u5230\u57fa\u9686\u7684\u4e00\u500b\u91ab\u9662\uff0c\u4ecd\u65bc\u6b21\u65e5\u50b7\u91cd\u4e0d\u6cbb\u3002<br \/>A New Zealand pilot, Sub-Lieutenant Daniel McAleese, of 849 Squadron, HMS Victorious, was lost when his Avenger crashed on Sharyo Island off Keelung harbour. Few aircraft were seen on the airfield.
