It was not too difficult to find another one, because they was not far apart.  The pillbox that Carl personally explored is #1 in the above satellite image (click to enlarge), taken on November 25, 2003.  The one I just found is #2, which is judged to be much bigger and taller than #1 since its shadow is wider and longer.  There is an object, #3, which appears to be as tall as #1 but does not have a cavity on its top. So it might not be a pillbox at all.<\/p>\n<p>\u4e0b\u9762\u9019\u5f35\u885b\u661f\u7167\u7247\u651d\u65bc2011\u5e747\u67088\u65e5\uff08\u9ede\u64ca\u53ef\u653e\u5927\uff09\uff0c\u524d\u9762\u63d0\u5230\u76841\u865f\u82072\u865f\u9632\u7a7a\u5854\u90fd\u9084\u5728\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u6a19\u793a\u70ba3\u865f\u7684\u7269\u9ad4\u5df2\u7d93\u4e0d\u898b\uff0c\u61c9\u8a72\u662f\u88ab\u62c6\u9664\u4e86\uff0c\u5730\u4e0a\u9084\u7559\u4e0b\u62c6\u9664\u4f5c\u696d\u7684\u75d5\u8de1\u3002<br \/>On the satellite image below (click to enlarge), taken on July 8, 2011, both #1 and #2 are still there but #3 is gone.  The military must have torn it down.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/cck_20110708.jpg\" target=_blank><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"550\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/cck_20110708.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><br \/><font size=-1>Source\uff1a Google<\/font><\/p>\n<p>\u6e05\u6cc9\u5d17\u57fa\u5730\u7684\u524d\u8eab\u662f\u65e5\u8ecd\u7684\u516c\u9928\u98db\u884c\u5834\uff0c\u4f46\u9019\u88e1\u5176\u5be6\u6700\u65e9\u88ab\u7a31\u70ba\u53f0\u4e2d\u98db\u884c\u5834\u3002\u5728\u4ee5\u4e0b\u9019\u5f351945\u5e747\u670811\u65e5\u7531\u7f8e\u8ecd\u62cd\u651d\u7684\u5075\u5bdf\u7167\u7247\u4e2d\uff0c\u524d\u9762\u6240\u63d0\u4e09\u500b\u7269\u9ad4\u5927\u81f4\u53ef\u898b\uff0c\u56e0\u6b64\u78ba\u8a8d\u5b83\u5011\u90fd\u53ef\u5217\u70ba\u53e4\u8e5f\uff08\u5728\u53f0\u5317\u5e02\u6bd4\u6211\u5e74\u7d00\u9084\u5c0f\u7684\u5efa\u7bc9\u90fd\u53eb\u53e4\u8e5f\u4e86\uff09\uff0c\u6240\u4ee52011\u5e74\u7684\u885b\u661f\u7167\u7247\u4e5f\u986f\u793a\u8ecd\u65b9\u6975\u53ef\u80fd\u628a\u4e00\u5ea7\u53e4\u8e5f\u62c6\u6bc0\u4e86\uff08\u53cd\u6b63\u9019\u4e5f\u4e0d\u6703\u662f\u7b2c\u4e00\u6b21\uff09\u3002<br \/>CCK Air Base is largely built on the site of former Kokan (Kungkuan) Airdrome.  But the airdrome was first called, confusingly enought, Taichu (Taichung) Airdrome.  I don&#8217;t know when the Japanese renamed it.  Anyway, the three objects mentioned can be seen in the reconnaissance photo of Kokan below, taken on July 11, 1945, confirming that all three are dated back to WWII.  In other words, Taiwan military mostly likely has destroyed a historic relic (not their first time, if they did).<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/cck_19450711.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/><font size=-1>Source\uff1a <a href=\"http:\/\/gissrv4.sinica.edu.tw\/gis\/fpmtw.aspx\" target=_blank>NARA via Academia Sinica \u4e2d\u592e\u7814\u7a76\u9662\u81fa\u7063\u6587\u53f2\u8cc7\u6e90\u6d77\u5916\u5fb5\u96c6\u8207\u570b\u969b\u5408\u4f5c\u8a08\u756b\u300c\u7f8e\u570b\u570b\u5bb6\u6a94\u6848\u9928\u5178\u85cf\u81fa\u7063\u820a\u822a\u7a7a\u7167\u7247\u300d<\/a><\/font><\/p>\n<p>\u4e0b\u9762\u9019\u5f35\u6230\u5f8c\u7684\u7a7a\u7167\u662f1959\u5e7410\u670821\u65e5\u62cd\u651d\uff1a<br \/>The next is a post-war photo taken on October 21, 1959:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/cck_19591021.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/><font size=-1>Source\uff1a <a href=\"http:\/\/gissrv4.sinica.edu.tw\/gis\/fpmtw.aspx\" target=_blank>NARA via Academia Sinica \u4e2d\u592e\u7814\u7a76\u9662\u81fa\u7063\u6587\u53f2\u8cc7\u6e90\u6d77\u5916\u5fb5\u96c6\u8207\u570b\u969b\u5408\u4f5c\u8a08\u756b\u300c\u7f8e\u570b\u570b\u5bb6\u6a94\u6848\u9928\u5178\u85cf\u81fa\u7063\u820a\u822a\u7a7a\u7167\u7247\u300d<\/a><\/font><\/p>\n<p>\u56e0\u70ba\u6211\u53bb\u904e\u5e7e\u6b21\u6e05\u6cc9\u5d17\u7684\u57fa\u5730\u958b\u653e\u6d3b\u52d5\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u6709\u53ef\u80fd\u7121\u610f\u9593\u62cd\u4e0b\u9019\u4e9b\u53e4\u8e5f\u7684\u8eab\u5f71\u3002\u679c\u5176\u4e0d\u7136\uff0c\u5728\u62112006\u5e74\u62cd\u7684\u7167\u7247\u88e1\uff0c\u4e09\u5ea7\u53e4\u8e5f\u5168\u90e8\u5165\u5217\u3002\u4e0b\u9762\u9019\u5f35\u7167\u7247\u7684\u53f3\u5074\u662f\u6211\u7a31\u70ba1\u865f\u7684\u9632\u7a7a\u5854\uff0c\u800c\u7167\u7247\u4e5f\u986f\u793a\u6240\u8b02\u76843\u865f\u7269\u9ad4\u5176\u5be6\u662f\u4e00\u5ea7\u50cf\u662f\u6c34\u5854\u7684\u5efa\u7bc9\u3002<br \/>I have been to CCK several times for the Air Force open house.  So I may have photographed one of these pillboxes &#8220;by accident&#8221;.  After I search my photo archive, it is confirmed that I photoed them all when attending the 2006 open house.  In the next image, pillbox #1 is on the right-hand side and #3, which turns out to be a water tower, is on the left.  (This is because I took the photo from the north east.)<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/cck_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u5f8c\u4f86\u6211\u53c8\u767c\u73fe\u6211\u57281999\u5e74\uff08\u90a3\u9084\u662f\u5e95\u7247\u6a5f\u7684\u6642\u4ee3\uff09\uff0c\u5c31\u62cd\u904e\u9019\u5ea7\u300c\u6c34\u5854\u300d\uff1a<br \/>Then I found out that actually I photoed the water tower back in 1999:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/cck_2a.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u6211\u73fe\u5728\u624d\u60f3\u8d77\u5176\u5be6\u4ee5\u524d\u5c31\u6ce8\u610f\u904e\u88ab\u6211\u6a19\u793a\u70ba2\u865f\u7684\u9632\u7a7a\u5854\uff0c\u56e0\u70ba\u5b83\u771f\u7684\u975e\u5e38\u986f\u773c\uff0c\u4e0b\u6b21\u57fa\u5730\u958b\u653e\u6642\u4e0d\u59a8\u591a\u7559\u610f\u4e00\u4e0b\u3002\u4ee5\u4e0b\u662f\u6211\u57281999\u5e74\u62cd\u5230\u7684\u7167\u7247\uff1a<br \/>I believe many people attending the open house would have seen the pillbox #2 already, since it is tall and big.  The photo below was taken (on a film) in 1999.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/cck_3a.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"black\"><strong>[2013\/01\/01 Update]<\/strong><\/font>:<br \/>\u4ee5\u4e0b\u662f\u7db2\u53cb\u63d0\u4f9b\u76842\u865f\u9632\u7a7a\u5854\u5167\u90e8\u7167\u7247\uff1a <br \/>The next photo shows the interior of pillbox #2:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/cck_3.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><del datetime=\"2013-01-01T08:34:13+00:00\">\u6211\u6703\u5229\u7528\u6642\u9593\u628a\u4e4b\u524d\u5728Google Maps\u4e0a\u516c\u5e03\u7684\u9632\u7a7a\u5854\u4f4d\u7f6e\u4e5f\u505a\u66f4\u65b0\u3002<\/del> \u53e6\u6709\u7db2\u53cb\u6307\u51fa\uff0c\u9664\u4e86\u4e0a\u8ff0\u5169\u5ea7\u9632\u7a7a\u5854\uff0c\u76ee\u524d\u6e05\u6cc9\u5d17\u57fa\u5730\u4e8b\u5be6\u4e0a\u9084\u6709\u7b2c\u4e09\u5ea7\uff0c\u4e26\u4e14\u63d0\u4f9b\u4e86\u5ea7\u6a19\u3002\u4ee5\u4e0b2002\u5e74\u7684\u885b\u661f\u7167\u7247\u986f\u793a\u4e86\u9019\u5ea7\u65b0\u767c\u73fe\u7684\u9632\u7a7a\u5854\u9802\u90e8\u7684\u5713\u5b54\uff0c\u5b83\u7684\u5f71\u5b50\u4e5f\u53cd\u6620\u4e86\u5b83\u7684\u9ad8\u5ea6\u3002<br \/><del datetime=\"2013-01-01T08:34:13+00:00\">I will update my list of pillboxes on Google Maps accordingly.<\/del> An anonymous source told me that there is still another pillbox on CCK AB and provided its coordinate.  The hollow on the top and the long shadow in the following 2002 satellite image reveal it is a pillbox.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/cck_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/><font size=-1>Source\uff1a Google<\/font><\/p>\n<p>\u4e0b\u9762\u9019\u5f35\u651d\u65bc2012\u5e745\u670822\u65e5\u7684\u885b\u661f\u7167\u7247\u986f\u793a\u5b83\u4ecd\u5c79\u7acb\u5728\u57fa\u5730\u4e0a\uff0c\u7531\u65bc\u5b83\u7684\u4f4d\u7f6e\u96e2\u53f0\u4e2d\u822a\u7a7a\u7ad9\u4e0d\u9060\uff0c\u8aaa\u4e0d\u5b9a\u642d\u6a5f\u7684\u65c5\u5ba2\u5c31\u770b\u5f97\u898b\u3002<br \/>The following May 22, 2012, satellite image confirms it is still on the base.
