At the time, the US military referred to this airfield as Reigaryo Airdrome, at which the 20th <i>Sentai<\/i> (Group) of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force was stationed.  It has since transformed into the current Kaohsiung International Airport in Xiaogang District (see the Google Earth satellite photo below).<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/reigaryo_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u5c31\u5728\u672c\u6587\u7b2c\u4e00\u5f35\u7167\u7247\u62cd\u651d\u5f8c\u4e0d\u4e45\uff0c\u7f8e\u570b\u6d77\u8ecd\u7684\u98db\u6a5f\u958b\u59cb\u8f5f\u70b8\u9019\u5ea7\u6a5f\u5834\uff08\u8acb\u898b\u4ee5\u4e0b\u56db\u5f35\u7167\u7247\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Moments after the first photo had been taken, aircraft from Task Force 38 of the US Navy began to bomb this airfield, as shown in the next four low-altitude strike photos.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/reigaryo_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/reigaryo_3.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/reigaryo_4.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/reigaryo_5.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/><font size=-1>Source\uff1aNARA via Fold3.com<\/font><\/p>\n<p>\u7f8e\u8ecd\u98db\u6a5f\u7684\u653b\u64ca\u98db\u884c\u8def\u7dda\u5927\u81f4\u662f\u6cbf\u8457\u672c\u6587\u7b2c\u4e00\u5f35\u7167\u7247\u7684\u4e2d\u7dda\uff0c\u7531\u4e0a\u800c\u4e0b\u3002\u653b\u64ca\u7d50\u675f\u5f8c\uff0c\u80e1\u8702\u865f\u7684\u98db\u6a5f\u53c8\u62cd\u651d\u4e86\u4ee5\u4e0b\u7684\u7167\u7247\u3002<br \/>The flight path of the attacking aircraft roughly follows the line from top to down across the middle of the first photo of this article. A Japanese fighter aircraft can be seen as well.  All 32 aircraft of the 20th <i>Sentai<\/i> were airborne to engage American aircraft, which explains why no aircraft were found in the top photo.
