Adjacent to the base was the oil tanks of Rising Sun Petroleum Co.  They were among the targets of aircraft taking off from the aircraft carriers of Task Force 38 on October 12, 1944.  The next photo was taken by an aircraft of VT-18 from USS Intrepid (CV-11). There was a huge explosion at the seaplane base.  Less obvious in the photo was the black smoke streaking from the warehouse west of the base.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/tansui_3.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/><font size=-1>Source\uff1a NARA via Fold3.com<\/font><\/p>\n<p>\u4e0b\u9762\u7684\u7167\u7247\u986f\u793a\u5728\u73fe\u5728\u6de1\u6c34\u6377\u904b\u7ad9\u65c1\u7684\u5eab\u623f\u88ab\u76f4\u63a5\u547d\u4e2d\uff0c\u5728\u7167\u7247\u5de6\u65b9\u7684\u6c34\u4e0a\u98db\u6a5f\u5834\u5df2\u7d93\u5b8c\u5168\u88ab\u6fc3\u7159\u7c60\u7f69\u3002\u7b2c18\u9b5a\u96f7\u653b\u64ca\u4e2d\u968a\u7576\u6642\u914d\u5099\u7684\u662fTBM\u9b5a\u96f7\u8f5f\u70b8\u6a5f\uff0c\u5f9e\u7167\u7247\u88e1\u98db\u6a5f\u5de6\u7ffc\u4e0a\u7684\u76ae\u6258\u7ba1\uff08pitot tube\uff09\u4e5f\u53ef\u5f97\u5230\u9a57\u8b49\u3002<br \/>The following photo shows a direct hit on the warehouse.  The seaplane base on the left was already clouded by smoke.
