The date when the photo was taken is unknown.  Dick Reese, a former USAF reconnaissance coordinating advisor attached to ROCAF 4th TRS from 1962 to 1964, recalled that Armstrong might be the one he replaced.  In addition, Yeh was transferred to the 35th Sq in late 1962.  So the photo must have been taken no later than 1962.<\/p>\n<p>Yeh was shot down and captured on November 1, 1963, while flying a U-2 mission.  He had spent almost twenty years in China until he was released and moved to the US.
