{"id":169,"date":"2007-08-20T13:34:31","date_gmt":"2007-08-20T05:34:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/?p=169"},"modified":"2007-11-03T23:03:59","modified_gmt":"2007-11-03T15:03:59","slug":"uav-at-tadte-2007","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/?p=169","title":{"rendered":"UAV at TADTE 2007"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/uav_stealth.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<p>This is a scale model of a &#8220;stealth&#8221; UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) on display at Chung Shan Institute of Science and Technology (CSIST) booth.\u00a0 It looks quite impressive at the first sight.\u00a0 But I think either this project is still\u00a0at a very very early stage of development or CSIST is not very serious about the project.\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 I don&#8217;t see any intake or engine exhaust.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t tell me it is an unpowered UAV!<\/p>\n<p>CSIST displayed several types of UAV at TADTE 2007.\u00a0 However, no aircraft specifications data were available.\u00a0 Although in the August 17 issue of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.taipeitradeshows.com.tw\/UserFiles\/File\/tadte\/show_daily\/0817_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Show Extra<\/em><\/a>, there is an article titled &#8220;Buyer Impressed by TADTE&#8217;s Professionalism&#8221;, I don&#8217;t\u00a0consider CSIST&#8217;s UAV display is professional.\u00a0 (Is this because I am not a buyer? Or is this <em><strong>why<\/strong><\/em> I am not a buyer?)<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/uav_various.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<p>The largest UAV in the picture above looks a lot like the MQ-9 Predator B.\u00a0 I wonder if the Predator B &#8220;inspired&#8221;
