But after hours of fruitless search on Google Earth, I realized that it might be the Taiwanese pronunciation of Huwei in Yunlin County.  Then, Bingo!<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/kobi_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/site\/taiwanairpower\/home\/airdrome\/plan\/KobiAirdromePlan.kmz?attredirects=0&#038;d=1\" target=_blank>Download<\/a> the kmz file of the airdrome plan for Google Earth.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com.tw\/maps\/ms?ie=UTF8&#038;hl=zh-TW&#038;msa=0&#038;msid=218421015922671820129.00049d55b1ff15ffdc138&#038;brcurrent=3,0x346eb754a5a31287:0xf3223ae392c60589,0,0x346eba2773c7f341:0x7ae4c47c03d12a95&#038;t=h&#038;z=14\" target=_blank>View<\/a> the airdrome plan on Google Maps.\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u864e\u5c3e\u98db\u884c\u5834\u7684\u9732\u5929\u6a5f\u5821\uff08\u4ee5\u4e09\u89d2\u5f62\u6a19\u793a\uff09\u4e3b\u8981\u8a2d\u5728\u897f\u5074\uff08Google\u885b\u661f\u7167\u7247\u7684\u4e0a\u65b9\uff09\u548c\u6771\u5074\uff08\u4e0b\u65b9\uff09\uff0c\u53e6\u5916\u6771\u5357\u89d2\uff08\u5de6\u4e0b\u65b9\uff09\u4e5f\u6709\u5c11\u6578\u5e7e\u5ea7\u3002\u4e0d\u904e\u897f\u5074\u548c\u6771\u5074\u7684\u6a5f\u5821\u8a2d\u8a08\u537b\u4e0d\u592a\u4e00\u6a23\uff0c\u4e0b\u5716\u662f\u897f\u5074\u7684\u6a5f\u5821\uff0c\u770b\u4f86\u6709\u9ede\u72f9\u7a84\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u8aaa\u4e0d\u5b9a\u4e0d\u662f\u7528\u4f86\u505c\u653e\u98db\u6a5f\u7684\u3002<\/br>Most of Kobi&#8217;s revetments were dispersed to the west (corresponding to the upper side of the Google image above) and the east (lower side of the above image).  There were also a few on the southeast corner of the landing area.  Those revetments in the west (see photo below) looked quite narrow.  Perhaps they were not for the aircraft?<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/kobi_3.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u4e0b\u9762\u9019\u5f35\u5716\u5247\u662f\u6771\u5074\u7684\u6a5f\u5821\uff0c\u6211\u767c\u73fe\u6709\u4e09\u7a2e\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u8a2d\u8a08\uff1a\u6a19\u793a1\u7684\u8ddf\u897f\u5074\u7684\u6a5f\u5821\u4e00\u6a23\uff0c\u90fd\u662f\u72f9\u9577\u578b\u3002\u6a19\u793a2\u7684\u6709\u9ede\u50cf\u672c\u58d8\u677f\uff0c\u5728\u7d05\u6bdb\u98db\u884c\u5834\u4e5f\u53ef\u4ee5\u770b\u5230\u76f8\u540c\u7684\u6a5f\u5821\u8a2d\u8a08\u3002\u6a19\u793a3\u7684\u5247\u7565\u6210\u6b63\u65b9\u5f62\u3002\u4e0d\u77e5\u9053\u9019\u4e9b\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u8a2d\u8a08\u662f\u4e0d\u662f\u70ba\u4e86\u505c\u653e\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u98db\u6a5f\uff1f\u9084\u662f\u56e0\u70ba\u5efa\u9020\u7684\u6642\u9593\u4e0d\u540c\uff1f<\/br>I found three types of revetment designs among those on the east side (see below photo).  Those marked &#8220;1&#8221; were the same as the revetments on the west side.  The ones marked &#8220;2&#8221; had a home-plate shape, which could also be found in Kokko Airdrome.  The &#8220;3&#8221;-marked revetments were square ones.  Were they built for different types of aircraft?<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/kobi_4.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u6211\u5728\u8d77\u964d\u5340\u7684\u897f\u5357\u89d2\u767c\u73fe\u4e86\u4e0b\u5716\u4e2d\u7684\u8a2d\u65bd\uff0c\u6211\u4e0d\u6e05\u695a\u5b83\u5011\u7684\u7528\u9014\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u7d05\u6bdb\u98db\u884c\u5834\u4e5f\u6709<a href=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/kokko_hex_red.jpg\" target=_blank>\u76f8\u540c\u7684\u6771\u897f<\/a>\u3002<\/br>The following installation were found on the southwest corner of the landing area.  I am not sure about its function.  A similar installation were found in Kokko Airdrome too.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/kobi_5.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u5728\u98db\u884c\u5834\u7684\u6771\u5074\u6a5f\u5821\u5340\u4ee5\u6771\uff08\u4e0a\u9762Google\u885b\u661f\u7167\u7247\u6700\u4e0b\u65b9\u7684\u6b63\u65b9\u5f62\u6a19\u8a18\uff09\uff0c\u5247\u6709\u4e0b\u5716\u4e2d\u7684\u5efa\u7bc9\uff0c\u7531\u65bc\u5b83\u5011\u662f\u5c01\u9589\u5f0f\u7684\u6b63\u65b9\u5f62\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u61c9\u8a72\u4e0d\u662f\u7528\u4f86\u505c\u653e\u98db\u6a5f\u7684\u6a5f\u5821\u3002\u7279\u5225\u7684\u662f\uff0c\u5b83\u5011\u7684\u6392\u5217\u5448\u5de6\u53f3\u5c0d\u7a31\uff0c\u4e0d\u77e5\u9053\u662f\u4ec0\u9ebc\u7528\u9014\uff1f<\/br>Further to the east were these square installations in the photo below.  Since they had no openings, I don&#8217;t think they were for aircraft parking.  Note that their arrangement was symmetric.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/kobi_6.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u4e0b\u5716\u662f1966\u5e74\u62cd\u651d\u7684CORONA\u885b\u661f\u7167\u7247\uff0c\u539f\u672c\u65b9\u5f62\u7684\u98db\u884c\u5834\u5927\u90e8\u5206\u5df2\u8b8a\u6210\u8fb2\u7530\uff0c\u53ea\u5269\u4e0b\u6771\u908a\u7684\u4e00\u689d\u8dd1\u9053\u3002<\/br>Below is the 1966 CORONA satellite image of the airfield.  A good part of the landing area had returned to agriculture.
