Since I had done my homework on Google Earth, I had little difficulty finding the pillbox (A) in the following photo.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/rokko_a.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u53e6\u5916\u4e00\u5ea7\u7889\u5821(B)\u6bd4\u8f03\u4e0d\u597d\u627e\uff0c\u5728Google Earth\u7684Street View\u4e0a\u53ea\u80fd\u770b\u5230\u534a\u500b\u982d\uff0c\u5be6\u5730\u5247\u5fc5\u9808\u8d70\u9032\u4e00\u500b\u5c0f\u5df7\u624d\u80fd\u5728\u4e00\u8655\u8001\u5b85\u524d\u9762\u770b\u5230\u3002<br \/>\nTwo such pillboxes remain on the site.  The other one (B) is only partially visible on Google Earth Street View.  You would need turn into an alley from the street to find it in front of an old brick house.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/rokko_b.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u8a31\u591a\u65e5\u64da\u6642\u4ee3\u4fee\u7bc9\u7684\u6a5f\u5834\u56db\u5468\u90fd\u6316\u4e86\u8b77\u300c\u57ce\u300d\u6cb3\uff0c\u9019\u4e9b\u4eba\u9020\u7684\u6e9d\u6e20\u5728\u5378\u4e0b\u4fdd\u8b77\u6a5f\u5834\u7684\u8cac\u4efb\u5f8c\uff0c\u8b8a\u6210\u4e86\u704c\u6e89\u8fb2\u7530\u7684\u6c34\u5229\u8a2d\u65bd\u548c\u6392\u6c34\u7ba1\u9053\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u7576\u7136\u8981\u62cd\u500b\u7167(C)\uff1a<br \/>\nAirfields built in the Japanese colony era were usually surrounded by canals for security.  After the war, these canals have become an integral part of Taiwan&#8217;s irrigation system for agriculture and flood protection.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/rokko_c.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u5728\u4e0b\u9762\u4e2d\u592e\u7814\u7a76\u9662\u5f9e\u7f8e\u570b\u570b\u5bb6\u6a94\u6848\u5c40\uff08NARA\uff09\u53d6\u7684\u7a7a\u7167\u5716\u4e2d\uff0c\u524d\u8ff0\u7684\u4e09\u500b\u666f\u9ede\u5206\u5225\u4ee5A\u3001B\u3001C\u6a19\u793a\u5982\u4e0b\uff0c\u6e9d\u6e20\u7684\u7167\u7247\u662f\u5728C\u7684\u5730\u9ede\u5f80\u5de6\u624b\u908a\u65b9\u5411\u62cd\u7684\u3002<br \/>\nIn the following reconnaissance photo provided by NARA via Academia Sinica, the two pillboxes (A and B) and where I took the photo of the canal (C) are marked:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/rokko.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u8a3b\u8a18A\u7684\u7889\u5821\u5728\u4e0b\u9762\u9019\u5f35\u7f8e\u8ecd\u7684\u7a7a\u4e2d\u5075\u5bdf\u7167\u7247\u4e2d\u6e05\u6670\u53ef\u898b\uff1a<br \/>\nPillbox A is visible in this aerial photo taken by American aircraft:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/rokko_pillbox.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Google Earth\u7684\u4f7f\u7528\u8005\u53ef\u4ee5<a href=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/rokko.kmz\" target=_blank>\u5728\u6b64\u4e0b\u8f09<\/a>\u5169\u5ea7\u7889\u5821\u7684\u4f4d\u7f6e\u3002  Google Earth users may want to download the <a href=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/rokko.kmz\" target=_blank>kmz<\/a> file to locate the two pillboxes.<\/p>\n<p>\u96d6\u7136\u9019\u5ea7\u6a5f\u5834\u5728\u7f8e\u8ecd\u7684\u5075\u5bdf\u7167\u7247\u4e0a\u90fd\u88ab\u8a3b\u660e\u662f\u9e7f\u6e2f\u6a5f\u5834\uff08Rokko Airdrome\uff09\uff0c\u5176\u5be6\u5b83\u4f4d\u65bc\u73fe\u5728\u7684\u798f\u8208\u9109\u5167\uff08\u4e5f\u8a31\u65e5\u64da\u6642\u4ee3\u9019\u88e1\u5c31\u53eb\u9e7f\u6e2f\u5427\uff09\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u4f60\u5728\u5fb7\u5dde\u5927\u5b78\u6240\u63d0\u4f9b\u7684<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lib.utexas.edu\/maps\/ams\/formosa_city_plans\/txu-oclc-6594356.jpg\" target=_blank>\u9e7f\u6e2f\u820a\u5730\u5716<\/a>\u4e0a\u6240\u770b\u5230\u7684\u6a5f\u5834\u4e26\u4e0d\u662f\u9019\u4e00\u5ea7\u3002<br \/>\nAlthough this airfield was marked as Rokko Airdrome (Rokko is the Japanese pronunciation of the current name Lugang) on American reconnaissance photos, it is in fact not located in Lugang but in Fushing Township.  Maybe Fushing was part of Lugang at that time.
