Note the airship-like object in the lower-right corner.  This photo, taken on October 13, is the first evidence that Japanese were experimenting with barrage balloons at that time. Obviously it is the same as the photo on the top.  However, the caption says it was photoed at Naha, Okinawa on October 10.  Had I read this report first, chances are I would have dismissed this photo because I would have thought it was not related to Formosa and this post would not have materialized.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=550 alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/taiwanairpower.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ballon_5.jpg\" \/><br \/><small>NARA via Fold3.com<\/small><\/p>\n<p>\u53e6\u5916\uff0c\u6211\u57281945\u5e746\u6708\u7684\u4e00\u5f35\u7a7a\u7167\u88e1\u627e\u5230\u540c\u4f4d\u7f6e\u7684\u7167\u7247\uff08\u5982\u4e0b\uff09\uff0c\u71df\u5340\u88e1\u591a\u4e86\u597d\u5e7e\u500b\u5927\u578b\u5f48\u5751\uff0c\u539f\u4f86\u7684\u68da\u5ee0\u4e5f\u6709\u640d\u58de\uff0c\u4f46\u4e0d\u898b\u6c23\u7403\u8e64\u5f71\u3002<br \/>I also found the following aerial photo of the same area taken in June 1945.  Bomb craters are worth noting.
