I have been a regular to this site for some six months. I love it. The blog is a very clever addition. I love being able to comment. Thanks 🙂
Rodolfo:
Thanks. Taiwan needs support from people all over the world like you.

Thanks for your kind words. One reason I added a blog is that is can help two-way communications between the visitors and myself. Another is that I can add stuff that does not seem to fit in my “regular” pages. Come back often and leave your comments!
Dear Administrator,
I myself come from a country in the other side of the world, as far as Taiwan is concerned. Military aviation had always attracted my interest. It would be fair to say that it occupies a large proportion of my spare time. With that in mind, ROCAF is definetly my “favourite” air force. There are not many cases around the globe that a country’s independence depends so heavily on airpower, and Taiwan is a prime example. Furthermore, ROCAF’s achievement and mission is underlined by the fact that Taiwan is a bastion of freedom and progress in a volatile area. Please, keep us updated on every development regarding airpower in your beautiful country!
P.S.:I would be most greatful if whenever possible comments where posted in English. Unfortunetely, I have no command of Chinese.
streetcat:
Thank you very much for your comments! I will try to write posts in English as much as possible. But if the content of the post is of interest only to local readers or when I want to elicit comments from local readers, I will do it in Chinese. In that case, please forgive me.
Gee, spamming a blog. What’s next?
According to the statitics automatically collected, 1863 spams have been caught by Akismet. A few spams did slip through and had to be manually “executed”.
Dear Mr. Chang,
How are you? Just found out this fantastic blog which included so many detail accounts and events on ROCAF. I was grown up as a ROCAF dependent at one of the many dependent living area at Pingtung. My dad used to flew with 10th TAG and subsequently promoted to the commanding officer of 439 Combined TAW or sometimes been called The 6th TAW which at that time included 10th TAG, 20th TAG and an Anti-submarine Tactical Group. (Two E-2C squadrons). I used to hear so many stories about General I, Fu-En who my brother help wrote and compiled his memoir and stories regarding 34th squadron which most of the pilots, navigators and radio operators were recruited from 10th TAG to flew B-17, P-2V for mainland reconnaissance on the earlier days and later flew C-123 for Vietnam missions. So, I have seen a lot of my childhood mate’s dad die for this country for doing many dangerous assignments. My dad, himself also has been sent to Vietnam flying C-46 to help Vietnamese government during late 1969. Hopefully, you will have more articles or stories posting regarding 439th Combined TAW in the future. My sincere salute to you for all you hard work and endeavor on this blog for ROACF. Take care!!!
Mr. Chang,
A typo error that the two Anti-submarine squadrons should be equipped with S-2 instead of E-2C.
Jeffrey:
Many thanks for your comments and for your kind words about this blog. If you have interesting stories/photos about your father or his unit that you want to share with all of us, I am more than happy to post them here!
My blog was hacked. I am not able to save new posts; but I can comment. Many WordPress blogs are experiencing the same problem. I am not sure when or if it can be solved. 🙁
