B-29二度轟炸台灣 B-29 Bombed Heito and Toshien

1944年10月16日，第20轟炸司令部的第444、462、468轟炸大隊執行第11號任務，主要目標是屏東飛行場，上圖即是在屏東上空投下的炸彈，由468大隊序號42-24469的B-29所攝。下圖是同一大隊序號42-6409的B-29拍攝的屏東飛行場，可見當天是多雲的天氣。
On October 16, 1944, the 444th, 462nd, and 468th BG of the XX Bomber Command carried out Mission Number 11. Their primary target was Heito (now Pingtung) Airdrome. The above photo was taken by the crew of the B-29 (s/n 42-24469) of the 468th BG when these bombs were dropped over Heito. The photo below was taken by 468th BG’s 42-4609. Heito Airdrome was partially covered by clouds.

在這次任務中，有部分B-29並未對屏東飛行場投彈，而是轟炸其他目標。下圖顯示444大隊的一架B-29在現在的左營高鐵站上空投下炸彈。
Several B-29 did not bomb Heito but attacked other targets. The following photo shows that a B-29 of the 444th BG dropped its bombs when it flew over where the current THSR Zuoying Station locates.
