• Identities of NASC UH-1H

    It is well known that ROC Army transferred 20 UH-1H to the former National Fire Administration (NFA), which was consolidated into the current National Airborne Service Corps (NASC).  But it was not clear which 20 UH-1H were picked.  Now with the kind help from Jason Tu, I got the match-up between NASC serial numbers and the original ROCA serial numbers.

      NA-301是200型,原來的民航編號是B-13152,200型機身較短,窗戶一邊共有六個

      Asia-Image這張照片的說明也打錯了,以前我也被它誤導了,

      民航局的那架B-00135應該是300型,上周電話中我說錯了,他的窗戶比350型少一個窗戶

      空勤總隊目前我只少兩架S-76B與B-234 NA-603,這架NA-603去年在台東發生事故,不曉得修好了沒

      現在可以確定
      只有510是唯一一架HH-1H
      其他19架都是UH-1H

    • 謝謝!但是從照片來看,510的尾旋翼還是在左側啊,正牌HH-1H的尾旋翼是在右側,難道510改過了?請問有原始的serial number嗎?

    • 空軍使用的機種型號都是跟隨美軍來的,雖然HH-1H機身是UH-1H一樣,但美軍軍援時就是給我們當救護機用的,所以名稱上就與美軍稱呼一樣,而不稱UH-1H,這種例子其實很多,如34隊使用的P2V-7U,是由海軍系統提供的,它就用空軍的型號RB-69A,其他如AT-11,H-13,甚至C-118,都有這種問題存在

    • 查了一下
      69-16671到69-16679這九架UH-1H賣到台灣給救護隊使用
      其中我唯一曉得本軍編號的是69-16675,變成9505
      如果當初接機承辦人員有概念的話
      這九架應該是順著美軍序號排下來
      至於HH-1H應該是我們跟著美軍叫的
      正確的型號應該還是UH-1H
      所以尾旋翼還是在左邊

    • 我也這樣猜,可能性很大,但是救護隊總共用了14架HH-1H,而NFA-910應該是救護隊的9511號機,以前看到陸航423時期它的測高雷達與前面幾架不同,所以我猜是9511,但9511怎麼來的就不知到了

    • 我覺得空軍可能還會按美軍序號排
      交給陸軍時可能順序就亂了
      前面9架至少摔3架
      邱教官19日應該會講他摔9504的經過
      另外9514的序號是多少
      有無交給陸軍也是我很好奇的

    • 9511–from the last days of South Vietnam??? That would be only way I could think of that didn’t went through any purchase or military aid programs. Remember ROCN did sent a few LSTs to water off South Vietnam, and a couple(or a few) of the South Vietnam military did land on those ROCN LSTs. One of the helo had rocket launchers that came with fire control systems. ROCNs took those helos back to Taiwan, and the fire control systems were given to CSIST.

      Then, US found out about it, and demand the fire control systems back.

      幾天後還是從嘉義被要回去
      美國人打老越打不過
      追討財產倒是挺在行的

    • Only other way to get a helo without been notice for Taiwan, would be from Air Asia/Air America, which are all CIA owned front companies at the time……

    • 以下是在國防部檔案所查到的UH-1H相關檔案摘要(抱歉,沒有內容):

      1970:頒發HH-1H 九五O三號機失事調查報告書,希遵照。
      1971:隨文頒發四聯隊HHIH9501號機意外事件改進建議事錄辦單希遵照
      1977:呈報HH-1H-9507號機失事調查報告,請核示。
      1986:令頒本部接收空軍UH-1H直昇機七架分配如說明,請照辦!

      陸軍從空軍接受了七架,所以空軍自己也摔了七架,但是目前檔案只查得到其中三架的號碼,加上前面提到的9504,還有三架「下落不明」。

    • 下面是Jason Tu在給我的email中寫的:

      「另外我也有注意到HH-1H的話題。我昨天和ARG很資深的修護人員打屁時也和他聊了一下。他說自美國接回那九架時,全機都是白的,後來才又從陸航接了三四架UH-1H。一直到S-70服役後,才把他們都移給陸軍。當初他非常的菜,反正大家說這是救護機,所以也跟著大家叫這批是HH-1H。起碼他肯定所有的飛機的尾旋翼都在同一邊。」

    • Only 30 HH-1H were built for USAF 10/1971 to 1973, s/n 70-2457 to 70-2486. But since HH-1H is externally different than UH-1H(tail rotor wise), I think they’re just regular UH-1H/Model 205. Though where did they come from is a question. Could they be just regular UH-1H assigned as Medevac/Dustoff, which does has a standard hoist on board?

    • The ROCAF’s SAR 69-16671 to 69-16679 is listed by US government as foreign military s/n. The manufacturer s/n is from 17017 to 17025.

    • Question now is, are these helo brand new birds when purchased(through USAF, therefore the USAF s/n), or they were used USAF birds for about a year, then sold to Taiwan?

    • 我知道9505與9513摔了,其中9513當時載了很多大官,這一段中空前幾年有登過,9501是意外事件,並不一定摔機
      目前可以確定的是9503,9504,9505這三架,如果空軍真的從陸航接收UH-1H(不一定是陸航移交,也有可能是航發直接給空軍),這幾架UH-1H回陸航後也有可能用原陸航自己的號碼,空軍的HH-1H中如果真有來自陸軍的,最有可能的是9512~9514這3架,這3架都沒有裝無線電高度計(以前說的高度雷達,星期日問教官正確的名稱)

      空軍的金鞭計畫曾在台灣飛過美軍的UH-1H,有沒有可能在計畫結束後接收過來,沒有還美國人?

    • Which one is the 金鞭計畫? Ho Chi Ming trail insertion of special ops units, install and recovering of listening devices along HCM trail? Or was it involving the dropping of nuke test monitoring devices well inside ML China with converted C-130, and the UH-1H was the supposed recovery team?
